2 green chiles
1 1/2 teaspoons cumin seeds
1/2 teaspoon bengal gram dal
1/2 teaspoon black mustard seeds
1 stem curry leaves
5 tablespoons oil
1 pinch asafetida
1 teaspoon chile powder

1. Soak the green gram for 3 hours.
