1 1/2 cups oil
4 red chillies
10 pepper seeds
1 tablespoon coriander seeds
1 tablespoon bengal gram dal
1/2 teaspoon fenugreek seeds
1/2 teaspoon cumin seeds
tamarindthe size of a

1 pinch turmeric
1 pinch asafoetida
1 sprig curry leaves
1/2 tablespoon chilli powder
1/2 teaspoon sugar

1. Soak the tamarind in a small
