Ingredients

1 cup lentils
6 cups water
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon turmeric
1 onion - small and chopped
1 tablespoon butter/oleo
1/2 green chile - chopped

Soak lentils for one hour. Drain and wash lentils in cold water. Place
