3 tablespoons white vinegar
1/2 cup dry vermouth
2 garlic cloves - minced
1 1/2 tablespoons brown sugar
1 tablespoon oregano
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 cups sweet potatoes; peeled - - cut into 1/2-inch
